Lecturer and Head of the Department of Management Studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI)
Ms Acolla Lewis-Cameron, PhD, is Lecturer and Head of the Department of Management Studies at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. She is also the Coordinator for the Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Unit in the Department. She holds an MSc. Hospitality and Tourism Education from the University of Surrey and a PhD in Tourism Education from Brunel University, both in the UK. As Department Head, Dr. Lewis-Cameron is intrinsically involved in the Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, sponsored by the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies at The University of the West Indies.

Mr. Brevard Nelson
Co-Founder & COO of Caribbean Ideas Limited
Mr. Brevard Nelson is Co-Founder & COO of Caribbean Ideas Limited. Before moving full-time into Caribbean Ideas, he functioned for over 10 years in various roles within the Guardian Group, culminating as Group Corporate Communications Manager.In 2007 his entrepreneurial journey accelerated exponentially when he co-founded Caribbean Ideas with his high school friend. Brevard completed an Executive Education Programme at the Harvard Business School, holds a Master'sin International Marketing Communications from the London Metropolitan University and a Master's in Management from the ESCEM Business School in France. His undergraduate Business degree is from The University of the West Indies.

Mr. Cecil R. Jaipaul
Managing Director, Jaipaul Consulting - Canada

Mr. Cecil R. Jaipaul holds a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education and, to list just a few of his very many insurance credentials, he is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, UK (CIP), Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Fellow, Life and Health Claims (FLHC). As President of Jaipaul Consulting, he specialises in claims consulting, dispute resolution and training. He is the Audit Team Leader of the Market Conduct Branch of the Financial Services Commission of Canada and is licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada to provide legal services in Ontario.

Mr. Gerard Mendez
Vice President, International Business Development (ICWI)

Mr. Gerard Mendez is Vice President, International Business Development at the Insurance Company of the West Indies. He has an EMBA from The UWI's Institute of Business (now the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business) and is a Certified Mediator, licensed by the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago.He is one of 18 mediators selected by the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago to handle "Court-annexed" mediations. Mr. Mendez has extensive Caribbean insurance industry experience, covering operations, corporate and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Mc Millan
MSc in Insurance & Risk Management
Mr. Mc Millan holds an MSc in Insurance & Risk Management from City University, London. During his career, he has worked with a number of top brokerage firms in London, before forming his own company Global Insurance Services in 2008. In 2013, he was approved as a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Lecturer with responsibility for the Caribbean Region, his first undertaking being the pioneering of CII Insurance education in Grenada.

Mr. Paul Traboulay
Group Chief Risk Officer at the Guardian Group
Mr. Paul Traboulay is Group Chief Risk Officer at the Guardian Group. In this capacity he serves as a focal point for risk related issues that affect the Group's short and long term strategic plans, operating and financial performance. Mr. Traboulay has some 28 years' experience at Board level in the industry's broking, life, health and pensions, asset management and general insurance business lines. He also hasoperational and strategic experienceregionally and internationally in reinsurance broking and financial risk management consulting. Mr. Traboulay, who has been a Director of the Association of Trinidad & Tobago Insurance Companies for the past 11 years, is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute.

Mr. Ravi Tewari
Chief Executive Officer - Guardian Holdings Limited

Mr. Ravi Tewari is Group CEO of the Guardian Group, a financialservices group that operates across the English and Dutch Caribbean. An actuary by profession, he has, at just 44, accumulated some 23 years of experience in the insurance sector. He began his career in actuarial consulting and, prior to 2005, worked as a valuation actuary, Appointed Actuary and on several key acquisition projects for Guardian Holdings Limited. Since that time he has served as President of Guardian Life of the Caribbean, a subsidiary company; Head of the Life Line of Business for the Group; and now, Group CEO.

Mrs. Rani Lakhan-Narace
Executive Chairman of TRINRE
Mrs. Rani Lakhan-Naracehas contributed to the growth and development of organizations in the retail and financial services sectors for more than 30 years. Mrs. Lakhan-Narace, who holds an EMBA from The UWI's Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, is the Executive Chairman of TRINRE, a Past President of the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies and has served on the Board of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean. She chairs the Education Committee of the Caribbean Corporate Governance Institute and is an Advisor to the Board of SHIFT!Caribbean, an NGO committed to just and lasting change through transformational education.

Mr Richard Ramdwar
Chartered Insurance Broker C.I.P., M.S.T.I, A.C.I.I, Dip Adj- Property and Motor.
Mr. Ramdwar is the Managing Director of Nautica Insurance Brokers limited and serves as an executive member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Trinidad and Tobago and a member of the Association of Caribbean Insurance Professionals. In 2013, Mr. Ramdwar was certified as a mediator and became a Co-Director of Direct Resolve Limited a corporate mediation house. He is currently an Executive Director of the Sherif Khan Academy of Insurance for Brokers and holds a marine captain's license for vessels up to 300T and a marine engineer's certification for vessels up to 500T.

Director, Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad & Tobago
Ms. Susan Francois is Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago. As Director, she has driven the establishment of its Compliance and Enforcement Unit. She has more than 25 years' experience as an Attorney-at-Law admitted to practice in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Ms Francois has a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of the West Indies, Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School, and a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law.

Mr. Theophilus Francis
Executive Adjuster with Axis (Eastern Caribbean), Founder - Pioneer Insurance Claims Services Co. Ltd & President of Association for the Caribbean Commonwealth Loss Adjusters (ACCLA)
Founder of Pioneer Insurance Claims Services Company Limited, is now Executive Adjuster with Axis (Eastern Caribbean), Mr. Francis is also the current President of Association for the Caribbean Commonwealth Loss Adjustors (ACCLA). He has been practicing for the past 43 years and his involvement in loss adjusting in particular formally began in 1972 when he joined one of the major indigenous adjusting firms in Trinidad and Tobago.  In addition to local training, he also attended the College of Insurance in the UK. He has worked throughout the Caribbean from Guyana on the South American mainland, through Colombia in the west to the Bahamas in the north-west and has been involved in the management of hurricane catastrophes for the last two decades.

Mr. L. Anthony Watkins is CEO/Principal Consultant of ODYSSEY CONSULTinc Limited. An accomplished Organisational Development Consultant, he has been actively involved in public and private sector organisational transformation initiatives since the early 1990s, working extensively across the region with major companies in all business sectors. His work includes Visioning and Strategy Development, Executive Teambuilding, Leadership Development and Organisational Transformation and Merger Management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Toronto and has worked in the fields of Social Pathology/Mental Health, Correctional Services and Psychiatric Forensic Assessment in Toronto, Canada.
